Olight PL-PRO Valkyrie Rechargeable LED Weapon Light

The Olight PL-PRO Valkyrie is the rechargeable version of the popular PL-2 Valkyrie, and features a higher maximum output of 1500 lumens from the Cree XHP35 HI NW LED. As this is a high drain device, the temperature regulation will automatically drop the brightness to 600 lumens after 1.5 minutes to protect the LED.

The attach and release mounting system has also had a slight upgrade. It still features a swing arm mechanism located on the edge of the torch that when released opens up the mount, but once opened it can now be pushed out to one side to open up the rail mount further, allowing you to easily attach and detach the torch to the gun rail. Once in position, release the rail mount section and it will tighten around the rail and then close the swing arm and the PL-PRO will be securely fitted to the gun rail.

It is designed for handguns with a picantinny rail or a glock style rail and comes with two mount adaptors (1913 and GL) to make it compatible with a wide range of handguns, and the revolutionary designed magnetic pressure switch (sold separately) means the PL-PRO also works well with riffles.

The combination of the Cree XHP35 HI LED and TIR reflector provides a smooth beam that can reach up to a maximum range of 280 metres. It features a central hot spot to enable the beam to go further, but is accompanied by a wide softer spill beam for the perfect all round beam profile.

Two ambidextrous switches and are located on the back of the light and are pushed from the side to activate the light. A quick press and release of the either button will turn the light on in the last used output and another quick press will turn the light off. If you don’t press and release the button quick enough it will trigger the momentary operation and the light will stay on until you release the button.

High can be directly access from off with two quick presses of either button, and while the light is on low and high can be changed between with two quick presses of either button. Strobe can be activated by pressing and holding both buttons at the same time.

The light is powered by a built-in 900 mAh lithium polymer battery and is charged using Olight’s signature magnetic charging system. Simply magnetise the circular end of the MCC1A cable to the bottom of the PL-PRO and plug the USB end into a USB power source. The charging light on the edge of the magnet will glow red will charging is in progress and turn green once charging is complete after approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes.

When the battery level becomes low, the red indicator on the underside of the light, next to the charging point, will light up to indicate that 5 minutes battery life is remaining and that the torch should be charged.

The handy lockout feature prevents accidental activation in transit and is activated by first holding either switch for half a second followed by holding down the other switch (so that both are being held) for two seconds until the light turns off. If one button is pressed while in lockout it will provide 100 lumens momentary output before going off again when you release. To exit lockout mode press and hold both buttons together and the brightness will gradually increase. The light comes in lockout mode, so will need to be taken out of lockout before first use.

Please Note: *The high setting will run for 1 minute and then within 0.5 seconds gradually to 600 lumens to protect the LED from overheating. The high output is variable depending on the battery level, once the battery is at 40% or below the maximum output will be 600 lumens, and when at 10% battery only the low mode of 300 lumens will be available.

Factory tested using the built in lithium-polymer battery, results may vary between torch, battery and environment.
